New Volunteer Orientation and Sail Training

We’re going to start a new sail training class for anyone looking to become a volunteer on Niagara for the upcoming season.  There is no cost for this class.  The orientation will take place on January 31st, 2009 here at the museum at 0830.  The sail training sessions will begin February 7 and continue until April 18th.  We will meet from 0830 until 1230 every other Saturday.  If you are interested let me know. I am the Chief Mate of the US Brig Niagara. I've been sailing on Niagara since 2005 and have held the position of Third Mate, Second Mate, Engineer and now Chief Mate. I am also a graduate of Maine Maritime Academy and Tabor Academy and hold a 200 Near Coastal Master's License.
