Paul,

PHMC has no intentions of commemorating Niagara or the Battle of Lake Erie in 2013. PHMC will be focusing their efforts on the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg. The Flagship Niagara League does intend on commemorating both the building of the fleet, the ship and the battle at some point during that summer. No dates have been set yet. 2013 though is going to be another Tall Ships Challenge year with many tall ships coming into the Great Lakes. The festivals and port events will all most likely have a War of 1812 theme.

No we will not be at Canal Days this year. I will say though that the people of Port Colbourne were great. Thet really welcomed us with open arms. We will most likely stop off in Port Colbourne on our way through the Welland Canal.

You can send me an email at c-wsabatin@state.pa.us and I can answer any questions you have. You can also fill out the application and send it in.

Hello,

I apologize, as I couldn't find a better location to ask. I'd love to apply to sail for part or most of the 2010 summer season as a live-aboard. I've a couple of months (total) experience sailing other tallships, but haven't put in for an OS license yet. Is there an email address I can write to, or should I send in the trainee application?

Thank you, and again, sorry if this is an inconvenient method of communication.

You can use last year's application. It is still valid until the new one is posted.
